Chasing Orlando
Chasing Orlando is a theatrical comedy based on Ludovico Ariosto's Orlando Furioso, presented in June 2024 at the theater La Fenice in Senigallia. The project focused on the creation of digital scenography, live interactive 3D digital backgrounds in the browser for theatre performance. It’s part of the digital project for the performing arts course.
The Digital Experience Lab, directed by Daniele Tabellini, conceived, designed, and developed software for the creation of live visuals to accompany the text and acting. Divided into groups, each team worked independently but complementarily, using approaches and techniques for concept design, expressive programming, and creative coding. The group I worked with focused on the scenography of three scenes for which we created a cloth that takes on different shapes and meanings throughout the show, using three.js and cannon.js (︎ more info).
The software, controlled by students during the performance, was released under an open license on GitHub, allowing for both reuse and further research.
