A-tempo
A-tempo is a project born for the Garden of Forgotten Fruits in Pennabilli, the botanical garden envisioned by Tonino Guerra.
It represents a threshold, marking the transition from everyday reality to the poetic dimension, ultimately leading to an understanding of Tonino Guerra's art. His delicate and enchanted way of seeing the world served as the guiding thread that led to the final concept, a project that reflects on themes related to rural civilization, the keeper of past values, reminding us of who we are and where we come from.
A-tempo was exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2023 in the San Marino Pavilion. This Pavilion, titled Hosting Host, explores concepts ranging from the immaterial to the material and from the human to the more than human aspects of hospitality.

The project unfolds in two stages that take the visitor from the concreteness of the fruits to their intrinsic meaning, immersing them in a dimension where time is a subjective entity that marks moments of life. These two steps actually represent both a physical and mental threshold, as they stand between the entrance and the garden, putting the visitor in the psychophysical condition to fully enjoy and appreciate the visit.
